Welcome to Dishing on Food and Travel. This blog will focus on the fun and excitement of exploring new places, experiencing new and interesting foods, and meeting new people.

I believe that travel can take place anywhere and that good food can be found in small diners as well as 4 Star Michelin restaurants. I love turning corners and finding new roads that bring something new and exciting into my life and I want to share those experiences with you.

My love of both writing and travel has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

As a small child I had a portable typewriter on which I was going to write the next great novel and become famous. I would pack it up and take with me whenever I ran away from home. Unfortunately or fortunately, the weight of the typewriter guaranteed that I never got further than the end of the street.

In grade three, I went on an airplane for the first time and I was hooked on travel by the time we landed. The idea that I could get into a long silver tube, have the door close and eight hours later be in a completely different country was truly amazing!

It was only years later that I figured out that I could bring both together and share my love of them with others.

So I hope you enjoy what you read and I encourage you to offer suggestions and provide comments. My only request is to be respectful of each other as not everyone likes the same things or has the same experiences.
